anyone tried L.E.D. headlights yet?

looking to replace a few old bulbs and came across these...

anyone got any info on their brightness or general use? i think they would look good as they would look different.

Honestly cant see then been ANYWHERE near as bright as Halogen.

what about the new CREE 5-7w beasts? The same ones that andrew had in his ubertorch last weekend?

I had led spot lights in the house from ebay. They claimed to be 60 or 100 W output but they were more like night lights and all blew within 6weeks

I have an experience with the LEDs and I can tell you that the bulbs from the first link will shine like a sidelights. They won't be even close to the halogen bulbs. Cree diodes are much brighter, but still even the 7W ones are not bright enough to replace the low light bulbs. By the way, I have 7W crees on the rear/backup lights and they are quite powerful.

i already have little 4pot led's in the rear light cluster but im having trouble finding the bigger push in ones.
i have silly UV ones in the front

And here is the 7W cree on the reverse compared to the original bulb:
Actually the cree lights are much brighter than it seems on the photos. They throw the light at bigger distance.
