5th gen interior light problem

ok my roof light has stopped comming on when you open the door manually or on remote...but still works by hand...the door lights still work and boot and all other lights,
checked fuses etc

im stumped

Check on door jam the switches asvthis can be a problem
It could even be the interior light it self

switches are fine and operate the lights in the doors

Dismantle the roof light, and clean the contacts. Had similar issues with mine.

ill have a butchers in the am...but it all looked pretty clean earlier

Dismantled cleaned re assembled etc checked all fuses...got roof out to check wire...nothing...any ideas...light still works on switch and lights in doors come on both sides when opened

balls...tis what i thought.... :(

but then i ran a wire from the door switch to the light and nothing...ive dismantled the switch totally and its construction is so that any break would be obvious??

would the door switch provide the necessary signal?

am i rite in thinking that the light operates on a a double negative switch??

if all else fails anyone got a wiring diagram??

Have you taken off the switches that are attached to the door jamb and cleaned them?
They can get gunked up!! :geek:

Another thought, are the switches in the unit in the 'on' position?

switches are spotless...and operate the red lights in the door panels...
