slow windows common fault?

my divers window is moving mega slow plus my passengers window is a tad slow is this a common fault or is there a thread bout this already if so

tried greasing the runners with silicone spray?

nah the rain has been crazy the last two days here il have a look at it after it drys up

It's probably the nylon wire guides they use instead of pulleys that are wearing. You could try greasing the cables.

But a long-term fix is to replace the guides. And the drag knackers the motors too.

Edit; looks like it's not cables, but a quadrant & scissor gear; I was thinking of the wrong car. Try lubing the scissor sisters instead.

On my 4th the problem was the mounting for the window gear inside the door - the rivets had worn so the mech had some play, I replaced them with some bolts and problem solved.

At first I sprayed the runners with silicone but I just ended up with an awful mess on my glass...
