Hi,
I dont have an ODB11 plug.

This is on the left hand side of my console

It looks like Honda have fitted there own type of diagnostic plug
has anyone seen this before. if you have had service light put out, did you see if its a special loom or an adapter to plug into the Honda blue plug then into an OBD11.

Is it possible to splice on an odb11 plug?

I have a 5th gen 2.2 Auto.

Apparently the data link connector is the 3 pin right next to the service connector. I dont know if the car will like the scan tool or not, most of us use a paper clip and read the light codes.

I was looking into this recently, apparently our UKDM cars don't have an OBD2 connector and instead use a 3-pin Honda specific data connector.
Only the USDM had a OBD2 connector.

Apparently. That's what I found googling it the other day anyway.

^^ This.

I have been into this in some depth. Even a 3 pin to OBDII adapter lead won't work unless you have specific software/hardware. A Normal OBDII scanner won't work.

As above USDM have it due to legislation over there. We don't :(

What you have above won't work. I tried it with some borrowed gear and no good.

It is not paperclip to reset lights that i am after, it is two way communication to the ECU.
This will then be able to comunicate with my Android smart phone to use Toruqe Pro

It really can't be done.

I was hoping to do exactly what you are looking to do but I had no luck.

it "may" be possible if you are a whizz with electronics and can wire an additional power feed to your scan tool and get the coms protocols sorted out but it would be a lot of work just to get to a point where you could test it.

get a loom from the US and retrofit it to your UK car might do the trick
