Anybody wired either of these in? im currently about to thread them through an available grommit through the dash to the engine, and ive been told one screws into a blanking hole (currently with a screw in it?) and the other can go maybe into the Oil Filter bit.... no idea if any of this is true, plus whats best.

Oil temp - I fitted the temp sensor in the sump. Drilled a hole in the sump next to the drain plug. Welded a nut to the hole to provide a thread for sensor. Bit of silicone on the thread and job done.
Oil pressure - This is more important. One way (in my opinion the wrong way) to do it is to fit a brass T piece under your existing pressure switch, then install the new pressure sensor into the T piece. The problem with this is the combined weight of both stock and new sensor plus T piece. The fear is the T piece can work harden and snap off due to engine vibration. You'd quickly lose all your oil.
Better way is to mount the whole lot on your firewall and run a braided line to the engine block. Put a loop in the braided line to give it some relief.

You can buy an oil filter sandwich plate and use this to screw in the electrical sensors for the gauges. R-spec will sell you these and the gauges. For the wiring I used a combination of the stereo and accessory socket to get the right wires.

can you tap into the existing vtec solenoid pressure sensor/switch wiring or does that not work?
temperature is sorted

My SPA oil temp sensor is in the sump plug (drilled and threaded) and the SPA oil pressure sensor replaces the stock oil pressure switch. (PA did it for us)
I think you can get flash oil temp readings from using the head as the source.

hmm right ok, will have a think about that cheers people
as we were thinking of shoving temperature here:
and pressure here with the vtec solenoid sensor
not sure if that would work

Wouldn't think that these wires would work. Does your gauges not come with a sensor? It is this sensor which drives the gauges as it is calibrated to it.

If you look on this website:
http://www.rspec.co.uk/performance-gaug ... tor-series
You will find an oil filter sandwich plate - screw the sensors into this and run the wires to the gauges etc. Job done. You can also buy an oil sump plug adaptor from demon tweeks and screw the temp sensor in there so that it is taking temp from the sump. You will also find various attachments for the oil pressure gauge there so that you can screw the sender into the oil pressure warning light.
