Dash Lights????

Post by Liamdh » Fri Jul 27, 2012 5:04 am

Ok peeps, yet another annoying problem on my Gen5

Every now and then when you turn the key, nothing lights up.
The radio comes on, the fans work. But no dash warking lights. I can start the car but it imediatly cuts out again. Its even done it while I was driving
Its realy annoying as the battery terminal was loose so cleaned it all up and tightened it, just had the bottom of the dash off and checked all the plugs on the back of the ignition and every thing seems ok.

Any advice ???

This wouldn't be the ignition barrel fault again would it?

sounds alot like the ignition barrel to me aswell, never had any troubles since fitting the new barrel and it didnt take that long to swap out, on a 4th gen that is but it cant be too much different.

My 2000 accord had a recall for a faulty ignition barrel a good few years ago. Did this recall apply to 5 gens of the same time I wonder?
