plasma dial colour change

So I have these in my car at the moment;

The colour can be switched between blue & green through flicking a switch on the dimmer control. Now it doesn't switch to a separate set of lights or anything to change the colour so I figure it must be changing to voltage to get a different colour...

I'm considering hooking up the vtec signal to a relay which changes the voltage to the dials when the vtec is activated so it can change the colour when vtec is engaged to say red. Does anyone know if this is infact how the plasma dials work to change colour?

Does it flick between the two colours, or do you need to hold it and it fades?

A set of plasmas on a previous car were the latter option.

If yours are the first, then I dare say it's possible.

It's on a flick switch an goes directly between the two colours. There is a dimmer option too
