Heated rear window

My rear demister isnt working. I have the light coming on in the switch, so assume its not a fuse or the switch itself. Can anyone suggest if there is anything I should be checking first, or is it simply a matter of checking for voltage at the rear window and then working back from there?

I think there's a relay in the footwell fusebox.

Here's the 4th gen' fusebox. I don't know whether 5th gens are the same.

Check the windscreen it self
And the 2side main connectors
If not
U have a broken connection some where the lines on the rear screen it self
U can buy the repair conductor paint from halfords or may be your local accesory shop
Re make the connection
And bingo
Put some hot water in a pan put it on your rear shelf
Let it mist up move pan after a while
Switch on rear demister and u see if it works!

My money's very definitely on the relay, which is in the footwell fuse box.
*edit - I completely failed to notice this was for a 5th gen... Doh!

Thanks for the advice everyone. The fuses looked ok, and the relay was clicking as the switch was operated, but I have swapped them over from my old lude. Will try it later when the sun goes down and the windows mist up. If still not working then its a voltmeter to the rear window connections.

The connector unglued itself from the rear window of the Civ. I tried re-bonding it & using sliver HRW repair paint, but to no avail.
Might be that, or a break in the elephant.
