Info - 4g Dash brightness control unit (EL/non-EL)

Thought I'd stick up a couple of pictures of the different dash brightness control units for 4g cars, seeing as I'm in the middle of fiddling with them.

The larger unit on the left is for cars with EL dials, the small one for cars with regular dials. I didn't try the non-EL version in my car just in case something exploded - so I don't know whether it works with EL dials or not.
The EL dash loom has a plug on it for the brightness control unit, over on the passenger side at the top of the white box beside the fuel/temp gauges. Presumably this is plug'n'play, but if not then the connections shouldn't be hard to make.
My car didn't have a dimmer in it when I got it, rather the gauges just went bright/dim when you switch the lights on, so not sure whether the non-EL loom has the control unit connector in all cars (I swapped the whole loom out when installing EL dials, and don't have the old one to hand to check whether it had a connector or not).
There are 3 wires from the unit which go to the dimmer control switch, these are different colours on the EL/non-EL versions. Will figure out which corresponds to which when I actually install - it's all in the workshop manuals, though.
I have a USDM dimmer switch which goes on the dash console as in the pic, so will just be running the three wires across the gauges to the control unit. This switch also has internal illumination.

Front fogs, dimmer and rear fogs.
