I have a 2.3i auto 4th gen lude [ukdm bb2]

Pritty sure the ECU has restricter on it. How do i take it off, considering i would like to go on a track day soonish!

Nope UK cars don't have speed limiters on them, only JDM cars do (And the 2.3 was never available in Japan)

I stand corrected m8. Sorry Will always thought ecu were restricted for import on ukdm. Dont know why your lude seems so slow to you.

what is your feelings then on why you have a restriction. do you think it could be suffocating? air filter/exhaust?

The car wont go above 112mph no matter what i do, but it test it on a private road on an old runway so no need to worry! :lol: The airflow seems fine as does the exhaust too. I have an induction kit.

if its bang on 112mph maybe check your ecu hasnt been changed to a jap ecu at some point although being a 2.3 dont know how that would work
I hit the limiter in my h23 vtec still didn't kick in

He tried on a private road to go faster than the 112 but his clock was saying max out at 106 but bear in mind he is running 18" rims so his speedo will be out.

His engine is sweet and the auto box he has is smooth but the 2.3i auto I had did seem to be a lot faster than his feels.
