Any CAR-PC installs ?

Hi guys,
Anyone kitted their Predule out with a Car-PC installation (or who wants to boast about it here)?
I've now sourced all the gear to carry out a build, although I dont think such an install is worthy of my current car (just a runaround).

HOWEVER, I'm on the lookout for a 5th Gen Lude, which will become a perfect project car for such an install.
Interested to read from others who have done this / their Car-PC installs.

I had one in for a while till the Motherboard went pop
Just waiting to see how Android goes on the Raspberry Pi, there are touchscreen available for it already. That combined with Android I reckon will make a good CarPC

Me too, though I have a RPi that I've been playing with and it may have a few issues that could prove problematic. (i.e. the internal sound card is crap and you need an external one, power and USB is an issue and you need an external hub, due to the way it shuts down (or doesn't) USB sticks get corrupted easily so I'm using a USB hard drive, and that adds to the USB issue)
Hopefully these issues will be sorted eventually, though I wouldn't hold my breath.............

With the PC (or Laptop i suppose) the internal components can still be easily swapped out, to keep up with new technologies, or to add enhancements to the overall system.
A Tablet I take it you could fit directly to the dashboard, in the Stereo recess, or other location - but the external connections then, for example Audio, how would that work? You'd just connect directly to the 3.5mm Headphone jack of the Tablet? Would this be decent enough to cover the Audio install though? Surround sound? BASE etc? You have no options for interfacing other Video devices, ie: a Camera?
Can see the point here though, with the Tablet, you have WIFI / GPS / BLUETOOTH, even the Operating System, all already built into the one tidy device - no additional wires / components to mount, or factor in. Infact you dont even require the seperate, dedicated Car-PC screen!
Thinking about this, the Tablet MIGHT now make more sense.
Granted, the 'lazy mans Car-PC' - but it offers alot of advantages.
