Auto's

I know Auto's and manuals have different ECU's but do auto's have a seperate ECU for the gearbox?
Or is it all built into the main ECU?

4th gen Prelude does. Near the legs of the passenger, I will try to find a picture to confirm.

The ECU is in the passenger footwell anyway. any pics?

the auto box does indeed have its own ecu where it is i dont know but they definatly do have one

Right, now thats clear. I think I need one
My wagons had the gearbox replaced at some point with a Lude autobox.
vtec kicks in late and it only revs to 6.5k and when it changes gear it drops down out of vtec.
So I'm thinking if I get the correct ecu for the box it should fix the issue?

5th gen auto ecu is in the passenger front foot well

It's a small metal gold box, about a 1/4 the size of the ECU, bolted vertically just behind the trim that Froidas shows.
