Can anyone tell me what this connector is that someone has cannibalised behind my stereo? They have wired a switch to it that never seemed to do anything

Maybe somewhere there's a person stood outside their house wondering why their garage door keeps opening and closing all on it's own

I bet it's the service connector, and the switch is to save hunting for a paperclip

Just guessing, but...
Is it an interrupt (or bypass) switch for the signal to the electric aerial?

The switch is in place of the cigarette lighter so I can't see why anyone would wire it into that connector
Aerial is a possibility, i've disconnected that in the boot though. There's a bit of a story behind that

Hmmm yeah could be. I'm going to have to take the centre console out I think and trace the wires.
