I am hoping for some help guys.
I am after a new battery and the one in halfrauds(I know i was desperate) has the terminals round the wrong way.
Can anyone offer up advice on what battery i need to get, what CCA? etc
could Honda help me with a JDM car battery? i am dubious at buying one on ebay for the same reasons i never took the one from halfords.
any help greatly appreciated.

get your money back from Halfords bud

I bet you paid around £100 didn't you
get a genuine Honda battery bud, it will be about half the price of Halfords and all being well, your dealer will have 1 in stock

Yup - you'll find Honda are pretty competitive price wise man, if you need a UK reg to make things less painful when getting a price drop me a PM.

A new Honda OEM battery will cost you less than £50.
Mine was part no. 31500-SP0-011HE

I had the same problem when I bought a battery for my jdm from eurocarparts - the terminals were the wrong way round.
For some reason it called up a different part number to my ukdm one.
I just used the reg for my ukdm one instead and that was fine.
Think it's battery type 030 that you want.

thanks for the help, just to clarify Halfords do not have any of my money

I am off to Honda today for another part for my sisters Civic so i will enquire with them and update everyone.
The car also has a UK reg, its kinda special actually and confuses the jobby out of people as its a 94 prelude that due to when it was registered in the UK is a Y plate. When asked i always spin out some story about how i loved the prelude so much i had one specially built.

+1 for OEM Honda battery being your cheapest option, I got one for ~£60 very recently from my local Honda garage.
