hi all, i have just collected a Kicker solobaric l5 12" 2 ohm sub in a box for £21 on ebay.

the sub is a dual coil 600w rms 1200 watt peak, 2 ohm sub.
the amp i was planning to run it with is a fli 450s bridgable 4 ohm amp.

what would be the outcome if i were to run the 4ohm amp on to the 2 ohm sub?

does any one have any ideas, should i get a different amp, any sugestions on amp?

got it cheap as chips, due to a very bad and incorrect searchable description

I think you would need to bridge it.

The sub is dual voice coil 2 ohms. So if you run both voice coils in series and double the resistance and bridge off the amp thats a 4ohm load.

Are they linked up in series or parallel? You amp + to voice coil 1 + vc1- to vc2+, vc2- to amp -
