5th Gen Components

Post by funkmasterjay » Wed Feb 01, 2012 9:19 pm

Hey all.

I plan on installing a pair of components in my 5th gen.

I understand I have to have an MDF spacer, but I am unsure what shape. In my Lexus, I had to have special ones made but the Honda is new to me.

I was considering these.

Please let me know if they are ok.

Cheers.

1st of all what speakers are going in? It all depends on the speakers. Not all 5.25" speakers are the same size and same with the 6.5".

Make your own. Takes 5mins (if you have the equipment).

it will take more than 5 mins but you would be best making your own.

i found i had to shave parts off and make all sorts of shapes to accomodate the correct seating within the door but got a good seal in the end.

the Hertz 5.25 can fit right into the door cards with a little trimming but anything bigger will need the doorcard pretty much cutting into bits and the making a spacer for the door.
6th gen Prelude please Mr Honda. RWD 2.4 turbo lude.
