I have been given a 93 imported 2.2 vtec manual as a works company car and really love the car but it does have a few faults the main one is the rev counter/tacho .Its sits and reads correctly at idle but when you rev the engine it seems reluctant to register over 2500 rpm .I hope someone can shed light on any inherrent faults like this and how to rectify it .Thanks -Jon

The engine revs cleanly and is not lacking any performance

they gave me a chevvy matiz loan car to use at first which was cr@p but honda was part exchanged in on a newer car and coz I liked it he gave it to me to use -I had the choice of the lude or a 52 plate celica vvti .I am so pleased i chose the lude coz the celica was a dog when it came in.The joys of running a repair garage attached to a secondhand car sales garage.lol

I'd be tempted to try another set of dials to see if it makes any difference. If not - start tracing back. The lack of engine light suggests a fault after the ECU to me, so dials first.
