Engine came out of this today. scott560 your right the cam sprockets aren't in line. It certainly a new crank pulley.
Now this is the strange part. The broken cam pulley looks as if its been hit from the outside. My mechanic mate thinks someone has hit it with a hammer an that the belt has been cut hence why cam sprockets are in line still.
wurlycorner the car itself has had money spent on it mechanically but bodywise etc has been neglected. There a scrap, bash or rust on every panel. The passenger side lca is that worn its hard to believe how the arb link is still connected.
