Ah, way back in 1987 i bought a 1980 Honda Accord 1.6EX, 1602cc of power, from my dad.
Electric sunroof, electric windows all round, 4 doors, comfortable, cruise control, power steering, the envy of mates in their little gay 1.3 MG Metros and 1.3 Escorts. I was king pimp.
I spent the first 3 months of ownership with it in my grandad's garage learning the joys of P38 filler and rattle cans from Windmill Hill Honda, good old Honda Tudor red.
Alas 3 years later the rust problems had filled the MOT sheet, so much so they ran out of space to write any more, that i had to say good bye and EJB 491V went off the the scrappy.
The love of first cars cuts deep into your soul, I was a Honda man, more importantly an Accord man.
1997 saw me buy me buy my second Accord, a 1994 LSi 1997cc (CC7) £9200 with 27k on the clock. I loved this car, had it for nearly 14 years and sold it looking like this -

drokking loved that car, thought i would never be able to replace it, but then i bought this -

Promised the missus i wouldn't spend a penny on this, will keep it standard and just keep it clean every now and then, Yeah right!!

Always regretted selling the Lude, but i had too at the time. But those regrets do disappear when i sit behind the wheel of the ATR
