Out of our three garden ornaments, I was going to fix one of the Preludes first, but an H22a7 came up for sale.
Finally, after two years, we got the ATR running and legal.

Time for a shakedown cruise. Here it is in Germany.

Miss my ATR really wish I didn't break it now.

still remember polishing the headlights made such a massive difference.

I wish I had broken this one now!

The car got us home OK, but the to-do list is getting longer by the day.

well it seems I may have located one that has sat for a number of years I may try to make an offer on...not sure the wife will agree but needs must.

I would caution ... caution.

Depending on how the car was left, there are many issues to consider. Ours was left outside for 2 years. Among other issues:-
The atmosphere took its toll on brake, fuel and aircon lines.
The aircon radiator turned to dust, and I suspect the coolant rad has picked up pin holes at the same time.

You'll also find that:
Brakes will likely need complete replacement of discs, pads and calipers, especially if the handbrake was left on.
The fuel system, including the tank, may be full of foul jelly.
Electrical problems due to exposed connections could throw up some real head-scratchers.

I'm sorry if this sounds negative. I don' mean it that way. If you can save the car, I'll cheer as loud as the next person.

(Alternatively, you could save ours! It's very nearly very good and only 500 miles away from you ...)

yeah even if it is too far gone I could make more than enough money back on it by breaking the parts as painful as that may seem some times there are just no other options.

The story continues.

We took another trip - a second shake-down, if you like. We went to Wales this time. Apart from a new noise (rattling baffles in the centre box), the car went well.
Looked pretty good, too.

No it still sits there yet...crazy when if the standard Cat is on it the cost of buying may be covered by the sale of the Cat alone.
