I collected the car this evening, just as it was getting dark. It looks to be a decent job:-

As to the headlights, here's a picture of the old DB9 light next to a DC2 version:-

The distance between centres is the same and so are the mounting points. The DC2's gap between the lights is a good 20mm tighter because the lights themselves are quite a bit bigger. There's easily 50% more lens area.


Another difference is in the angles of the lenses:-

I think the DC2's nosecone must be a bit longer (front to back) to accommodate these differences, even though the fixings are interchangeable. Somebody told me that the DC2 also has an extra crash bar behind the moulding.

To look at the front of the cars individually, you wouldn't even think there was a difference between them!

I wonder why they did do that? Seems very odd!

Probably to improve the lighting with better lenses. They wouldn't need to do that with today's technology.
