2nd O2 sensor question

Post by DaveyBa8 » Sun Apr 21, 2013 10:31 pm

Over the years ive heard it monitors the cat, heard its also a heat sensor. My question is if i unplug will it throw a code? and if it does will the car behave differenty? as its just a monitoring sensor it wont adjust air/ fuel ratio?

Im going to weld up a bolt on decat out of some old exhaust i have laying around, theres a very very good chance that 2nd O2 sensor wont be coming out as its completely rusted to bits and practicably welded to the car.

If you remove it, it will put on the cat warning light, but you can just ground it to the Chassis and problem solved

It doesn't in anyway affect the running of the car
