Advice on upgrading brakes past the basics?

Post by lewd lude lover » Tue Feb 21, 2012 8:39 pm

Iv had these parts burning a hole in my heel and toe brain for a while but never got them all together at one time. I like shiny things :) they are waiting for spring.

we have AEM 330mm big brake discs, ATR front calipers refurbed a bit and Hawk HPs pads.

I'm after a little further advice really. I have spent ages getting the bits together and i alredy have goodridge stainless lines, castrol super and the brake stopper that toyracer made. lastly i have a mugen pedal cover

what else can i do the brakes? can you get an upgrade for the master cylinder? that seems the only part left that could be messed about with :? My car knowledge not being very large though I wonder what some of you have done to your brakes?

not on this build  but one day.

lotto lucky build.

Cheers phil. i am sure i will be happy with the mods that have been doen; im just interested in what else you can actually do to a brake system along street/light track use that is.

im also in two minds about using the AEM for normal driving/freaking insane B roads. will they get warm enough is my main wonder? I have a set of diamond black nitro on there at the moment. would i get better use out of those for street use? whats the AEM discs like in use?

exited now the suns staring to come out :D
