I have similar in my 5g 2.2vti manual, seems to be a bit of play where the passanger side inner CV meets the half shaft. When the car is rolling at low speeds, the backlash in the overall drive train is noticeable (with a bit of a clonk), you can 'ride through it' with careful driving and clutch control...
I too had thought about upping the 'base idle' a little bit as its mentioned in the service schedule, as i too have a bit of a dip on idle at times...
