i picked up a 2nd hand set of koni shocks with eibach springs for under £150 - Indigolemon also pikced up a 2nd hand set of konis with tein springs for even less ;) 2nd hand konis are cheaper than coilovers but just as good i think :)

You have to be in the right place at the right time to get a good deal. 2nd hand coil overs or shock / spring combo's are not that common for the Lude so you have to be prepared to wait and pounce.

I got Tein Basic coilovers for £200 off a Lude that was being broken.

yep nobody has anything bad to say about the koni and eibach combo - new they would cost the same as coilovers if not a bit more ;)

will do :)

you could always go with a set of lowering springs until a set of konis or coilovers come up.

i had a set of apexi lowering springs on standard shocks on a lude and they were quite good - oem shocks are pretty good imo. apexi springs cost about £100 for a brand new set.

if you fit those i will drive to scotland, hunt you down and rape your face to death! it'll be less painful than being stuck up side down in your car when its on fire after it has came off the road due to these lethal contraptions!

they can be made to work but need decent shocks, even then they will probably be too stiff for the road!

If you're not wanting to shell out a lot I would probably go with vanzeps suggestion above :) quite a few people on here run standard shocks with performance springs IIRC.
