I suspect Honda will come back and say its the immobiliser, but you never know. Hope not, it's mega money according to the service dept.

It's like the master key with codes in apparently according to Honda. When used in the ignition, it wipes all key codes from the car. It is the key from which new keys can be coded, but renders the car unable to be used if (like me) you're a tit and try it lol.

As it stands, she's stuck at Honda under investigation. I'll find out more on Monday.....damned car better be worth it :D

There may well be some reputable auto key cutters with access to correct equipment enabling them to reflash your immobilizer and master key, i had similar issue and got it done off a mate of a mate for a couple of pints.

Wouldn't surprise me if they could chap, after all it's only computer software and a reader to do the coding side.
