Banter goes here, and doesn't have to be Lude related

Yeah of course, fair play.

The problem is on a platform like this (the forum) most arguments are he said this vs. they said that. No matter how valid an argument you put across it seems largely the deciding factor is who has the most support.

And of course, let's not forget the jobby stirrers

Their own branded stuff is crap, the other stuff they supply is good though.
I stumbled across the Honda Diaries stuff a few months back and found it pretty entertaining tbh. I can't say I thought of anyone in it as a "chav". From what I saw they were a group of people a fair bit younger than myself, but just interested in working on specifically Honda stuff (the name gave that bit away). From seeing what was done to the car I can't see it being any more removed from being "chav" like. OEM style, stripped out a bit, but no garish body kits or daft wheels - just clean looks and quite nicely done. Lowered, Regamasters and coilovers. If that's chav then I'm well out of date with what is acceptable these days.

From seeing his friends vehicles also featured in some episodes this also seemed to be continued through their builds too - clean OEM style with nothing chavvy at all. And builds being done at home with no ragging around car parks or key banging at McDonalds. They've also featured some other companies in the Honda scene along the way who are decent people that I've dealt with before and it's nice to see them getting some promotion too.

Attitudes featured on there too - some acerbic comments about some of the cars seen at the Mimms meets and things like that, I'd say they seemed about as far removed as chavs as possible but perhaps I missed something? If by chav this just means people who are younger and have cars and fashionable haircuts then chavs they are.

As for stuff for sale from them - crap? what specifically? they do some clothing, gearnobs and wheel nuts that are 6two1 branded, and now coilovers too - I can't see how these can be called crap unless there is some real negative feedback or reviews that are being hidden. Not that I've searched extensively for reviews, but their Facebook page is open to comments so you'd think that there would be some reports on there if the stuff was crap.

I've spoken to Adam a few times via internet links and he seems about as decent and completely not up his own arse as anyone I've ever spoken to in the scene. Never once did the impression seem that he thought himself famous or some kind of celebrity. Maybe he hoodwinked me and he's a total nobend but I've not got an inkling of that yet.

My view is good luck to him - he's put his money into setting up a business and if the coilovers are as decent as reports say then it's a pretty decent achievement for a small business like that. As well as the other stuff that's imported and sold.

I know nothing of the meet/revving incident but if that did happen the way it was described it sounds a bit lame. Having said that though if it was a few years ago and at the time the person in question was pretty young it might go some way to explain it. I know I did some pretty stupid stuff with cars when I was younger (still do from time to time).

Can understand if people have personal issues with him that have arisen from situations that haven't been made public, but to discount someone's business efforts and products as "crap" without any actual justification given is lame. Especially from another company in the same game. At least give some examples rather than just a blanket "crap".

Adam has always been awesome, and really helpful, whenever I've spoken to him... But there's always going to be people who make assumptions about someones character without having ever spoken to or met them, just because they're well known in the scene or successful, I guess you set yourself up for it once you get well known. But don't make a judgement on seeing someone from a distance having never actually spoken to the guy. Go have a chat at one of the shows 6two1 attend and then make a judgement if you still want to... I think he's done pretty well for himself, almost completely on his own, from what started out as a little blog and some videos online!

Hold up while I crawl out his ass, but everything I've said is true.

And the Vlogs are hilarious IMO. But everyone is different ;)

I wouldn't make stuff up on this forum as I think its a family here now.. I know what I saw that day so that's what I said..

You might be completely cool but that day I felt you could have handled it better when you were told to move out from the underground carpark (near Sainsbury)..

I have no comments/criticism about the products as I haven't used them personally  And Yes I want you to take some pictures of my awesome Prelude.

2 friends of mine bought 6two1 branded stuff with issues, quality wasn't all that on the wheel nuts, they lost their colour. Didn't seem to be any different from eBay specials that are £20. He has Superforma ones on now.

I spoke to Adam earlier, and mentioned to my friends they should drop an email.

Fair play to what Adam has done, the stuff they supply from other manufacturers is great.... And unique to the UK. if your gonna charge £50 for a set of wheel nuts they need to be better made, just sayin.

As for Honda diaries, like the cars don't like the immatureness. And find it cringe worthy from the few I've seen. But that's MY opinion, it maybe because I'm older than 6two1's 'target audience'.

Well this progressed

Fair Adam for coming on here and settling issues in a respectful way, well done.

Guess as in everything in life there will be a bunch of people who dislike a certain thing, another bunch of people who like that thing and then a separate bunch of people who don't care.

So its gone from 1 friend, to 2 now you've posted on the forum, neither of which have contacted me, how can i know of any issues if they're not reporting them to me?

as you will find if anyone buys your stuff, when starting out certain teething problems may pop up which you then have to tackle, any issues that have arisen i have either refunded and returned at my cost or replaced with a set that I know wont discolour. I treat my customers how I would expect to be treated and I've had some horror stories in my time so I know how to look after customers, its one thing I am proud of.

but once again you're not telling me who bought them, So I cannot rectify if there genuinely has been a problem, I have every single customer on file so if you'd just give me a name i could drop them an email/give them a call and sort them out, but you wont.

If you want to watch serious car builds on the tele I'm pretty sure wheeler dealers is back on soon so that may be more up your street.

I'm old. And I like Honda Diaries. But I am immature. And Wheeler Dealers makes my jobby steam.

Therefore, I have nothing constructive to say.
