Personally never been a fan of powdercoating. Can he brittle and high heat on lightweight wheels is risky. But I have seen some amazing finishes too.

I had my old OZ Racing Cronos powder-coated. I ran them for a couple years and they were still mint, no stone chips or anything when I sold them to Ste (Wherever the hell he is).

I had my mugens powder coated by a different company and the laquer has gone milky.
I've heard powercoating on lightweight wheels is a bit suspect too so I'll have them painted inthe future.

I recently found out it's the matting agent in the Matt lacquer that goes milky. Basically cheap lacquer.

£160 a set sounds like great value to me, but what condition do the wheels have to be in for that price? Do they need to be already fully stripped of paint etc?

I looked at a refurb down here (in Cornwall) and I was quoted £200 for media blasting and one colour powder coating. So I spent a tenner and painted them myself in my dining room instead and ended up with this:

The backs have since been painted black too.

Thanks mate, they aren't perfect but for a £10 refurb, I'm not complaining!

I wouldn't worry, my attempts at painting wheels would probably look like this...
