What exhaust manifold and decat do you have?

IMO with a good exhaust manifold and a 2.5" decat a 2.5" catback will be enough.

I have no idea what mani i have :? I am pretty sure its a ebay jobby. There is no decat, its a complete pipe from manifold back, as will the new system be the same. I was talking with mick at TT and he says he could remove the collector/flexi and increase the size of it to match the exhaust :? He also offered to make me a complete new stainless manifold to match the engine ect, but at a price of £6-700 i think i will give that a miss for now. So i gave him a call about making it in 2.5inch. He said it would cost around 50-100 more than the quote already :( BUT he did say it would benefit future modifications. So atm i will be sticking with the 2.25inch, purely for cost reasons at present. Cheers chaps so far. Very interesting to read who runs what diam. :D :D

I've been reading some of the old Engine / Gearbox threads and ran across this one which has some useful information and opinions on exhaust sizes:

http://www.ludegeneration.co.uk/honda-p ... t4040.html

It also includes a link to the PreludePower article showing the dyno results proving 3" exhaust gains over a 2.5" system, even on a relatively stock H22!?! :o

I'll be building a full 3' system for someone shortly ;)

Mines just a 2.5' manifold to 3' after the mid silencer and it makes good power for a internally standard engine, if you want a cheap system learn to weld and get a evo 4,5,6 aftermarket exhaust. They are loud tho, but silencers are easily added as I will be sometime soon.

Pete why a evo 4,5,6 exhaust system? Do they fit Ludes or something?
