james's engine back in, but with a new cam belt, waterpump and tensioner

if i went down this route i would have to cancel this weekends refresh rebuild start and postpone it for a few weeks, so that i can get the engine down to your workshop.

Thats pretty much what PAW did for me. But mine did have complications that upped the cost like knock sensors and some swapping engine parts.
But on the hole preparation h felt good.

i have just been speaking to my old man (forster dad), he is great for being realistic and practical and also having a mechanical background he said i would be stupid to pass this up. espesially if its as good as james says. also knowing that i could tinker with my old engine and get it to the level i want and have many rare spares too.

just need confirmation on price from p.a.w.

Nothing to do with me Sam, but a complete low mileage lump and box in your type s, with a spare working set (that can be rebuilt at your leisure) does sound like hell of a plan. Saving money and adding to your spares supply - sounds like a 'no-brainer'.

Do it Sam, how many sub 50k engines are out there, plus your buying from a member that wont mess you about and can prove the engine mileage, its a win win to me and will make your car even better than it already is!
