no never heard back from them - they are just the next street down and the car still has the paint from my bumper all over its front arch
im just going to leave it and get on :)

the car is running well but has developed a nastyrattle on down run at about 1500rpm - i had a listen today but wasnt able to pinpoint anything -i was hoping that i would find a problem with the power steering pump that just got replaced the other week with one i bought from @pedrodog66 - its more noticeable when it been under load and slowing to stop so could be the passenger side drive shaft bearings as it has quite a bit of play in it -its certainly coming from that side of the car :? more investigation is needed

Im sure if i see them at some point i wil have a word with them but its most likely to be a little old lady who owns the jazz
there is no off street parking round here and there are a lot of people who cant park - you should see the state of some of the bumpers on their cars - mine isnt the only car that gets damaged - one guy bought a brand new gunmetal grey porsche - doesnt look brand new now

Re: BB4 New Brake Master Cylinder

Post by vanzep » Wed Oct 15, 2014 5:44 pm

turns out is WAS a little old lady who owns the Jazz - I saw her getting out of the car as i was passing by so i stopped and spoke to her - no surprise but she denied doing any damage to the back bumper on my lude

On a positive note:
I finally got round to having the new OEM 15/16" Brake Master Cylinder fitted :)
Ive had an intermittent spongy pedal for a couple of years now and have tried everything to fix it- this was last thing to be done!
Im going for a run down the coast tonight to check if it has finally solved my brake woes so fingers crossed

Don't worry vanzep, winter is coming and it's meant to be a cold one.

touch wood the brake woes are behind me - i can actually stand on the brake pedal for the first time in years.
feels good :)
still got a bit of wobble due to the front discs being a bit warped so will have to order up some new ones.
I see you can get padgid 282mm fronts discs for £15.99 each delivered from ebay 8-)
