What's the back-story to LG?

Banter goes here, and doesn't have to be Lude related

We talked about setting something up in 2006 when PUK was in full swing, as we found it was limited by it's hosting. We just never got round to it.

After chatting with Ammo in 2010, we decided to start something of our own. LG was built and published one morning the following weekend - 9th of June 2010. Indigo quickly came on board.

That's not true, you made the tea :D Actually, you came up with the name IIRC?

LG hung around for 2 years before anyone actually started using it  January 2012 - PUK go spammed to death and everyone started moving stuff over to here.

My lude is still on the road, but I just don't get chance to post much these days, busy running my business, but time is starting to free up a little more recently.

I think every JapShow we all talked about moving away from ForumUP, Just it never happened and as it transpired wasn't going to

ooooh, ted you bitch. meeeeeeow.

ok, this is where i have to step in with my 2p worth.

ludebehaviour and puk rose from the ashes of hyper-rev/honda-revolutions/evolutions as stated before but lb was where it started for me. but it had one flaw. Drew and his greed and inability to see times were moving on and subscription sites for our brand was diminishing. don't get me wrong, in its hey day lb was fantastic and gave me the enthusiasm for the prelude that i still have today. the main issue with lb was that it was a subscription based forum that had its main bulk of the information in the paid area. this went well at the beginning as you would get a full members pack including stickers and a fantastic metal keyring, however, as time moved on members dropped due to selling up and puk in my opinion grew because it was free, and because more and more people could create clubs on there laptop at home, subscription sites became un-populated. puk was not as popular as lb but because of single minded opinionated actions of 2 of the admin who banned users for even the slightest of disagreements, people went to puk. i only joined puk towards the end of the era of lb as i wondered where all the lb members had gone. but my god, i hated the platform and the bloody ads and spam too.
but to give the boys on here credit, they have managed to combine the 2 clubs into one great and free community that i enjoy and owe a lot of my enjoyment along with ratty and nitins bum fun.
