So I have a lovely long weekend.
Booked a few things to do, one of them mainly to be spending time on he Lude.
Did a few jobs yesterday before heading to London to see Corrison of Confirmty. Any one a fan?
Anyway...
Firstly I took her down to Honda to get her serviced. Continuing the full Honda service history for the car.
They love my car down at Norton way... Had about 3 mechanics/staff members poking around it. I asked for the free complementary wash and vacuum and then also got told she's too clean to clean.
Hondas standards aren't the same as mine obviously. The service all went fine, and nothing got thrown up on the health check. I also love that on the check sheets they did not mark a single issue on the body work check
So then moving onto some subtle mods done to my Lude afterwards...
I was never a fan of the rear wiper, and seeing as pretty much most other coupes do not have one I quickly removed it off, and bunged it over. Literally only took 10 minutes. And I think she looks much better for it.
I then also finally gave her the badge of honour.
It annoyed me she had been debadged, it's not to my taste, and it was looking silly sitting around with the holes there. So in went the Prelude badge.
I also picked up a tow hook of my mate for free. Nothing special but I wanted one on the car, hoping it will act as a deterrent for any rear bumper lovers.
This was only a test fit. Know I am comfortable it will go on I'm going to spray it up matt black.
I have also had this changed in my car since last years JAE... Just never took a picture of it.
D1 Spec weighted gear knob.
Makes such a difference. The old gear knob, was well.... Old. One of the items which instantly shows an age of a car, similar to worn steering wheels... But that's another story.
I hadn't really thought much about the weight before, but it does feel nice when changing gear. The throw just seems to really sync in better.
Then finally a cheeky shot of her looking very sexy.
Excuse my friend in the background. He was working on his Alfa.
We then did attempt to remove the front bumper and fit my bracket for the number plate however we ran out of time and called it a day.
Thus I returned to my home and went to store her in the garage. First time putting her in by myself without someone watching me in.
All going smoothly I thought..... And then I hear something slightly off!!
Pull forward slightly, jump out. And I managed to catch the passenger side rear arch on the door frame. Some minor scuffing of green paint..
I think the neighbourhood heard me swear!!
I didn't have time to sort it then, I had to rejig my parking and got in no problem on attempt two. It'll teach me for folding my wing mirrors in before I am lined up.
Going to give the car a good clean now, and see what I can do about this scuff!
