From what I've read not much is interchangeable on these engines annoyingly, I'll definitely look into it though!

Didn't you have a set of arches to go on this, or are they for your other deck? I definitely don't like those rhino lips. I'd go for the bolt of drift style arches and body colour them. I'd leave the fronts as is. Can you not pull and roll the rear arches?
They are one piece haha they're just reps, but a good brand not knock off, RSL Cults. I just wanted wider than 7.5 for grip and these were all I could find and they were fairly cheap! I was thinking if I go for over fenders I'd definitely colour code them I just wasn't sure if it'd look odd only having them on the rear?

That's them! RSL Cults :) If you can get away with bolt on arches on a car, you can get away with them on just one end ;)

I have ordered some cheap ones from china to try for a couple of quid. Off the shelf universal ones always seem too narrow - as in they don't reach each side of the arch and sit in the middle instead of following down the arch line (does that make sense?) as if they're made for a car with much smaller arches like a Pug 106.

I got 'eyebrow' style ones and some other shortish ones - hopefully short ones will be easier to fit as they don't need to follow the arch line so much. The ones I ordered come with LEDs where you'd rivet them on  the light will be going straight in the bin though haha!

The eyebrow ones turned up and they look alright on the rear but awful on the front! I'll try to get a photo of them on at the weekend but this is them:

And these are the others.

Both are wide enough to make the tread legal.

We do have about 4 sets of over fenders the universal type upainted ones up the unit but annoyingly none of them work with the aerodeck arches :(

I like the wheels and how they sit. Reminds me of my van.

I know and I'm not even going to rivet them on so I'll have to use fake rivets in them  £10 for a set of 4 though so can't complain, more money for obd1 swap that way

Thanks haha they look awful in person though, like they were just a bad judgement call. The tyres are a little too meaty too - and I'm usually all for meaty fitment :P

I thought you had some Oem bodykit from a Toyota (or something) all worked out for the wheel arch extensions? (Or have I lost the plot and got confused..?)

That's on the other Aerodeck, the silver one  it does get a little confusing.

I would try another set of them but they're still not plug & play and they're rare and fairly expensive compared to universal style ones.

I'm still on the lookout for anything - the biggest problem is that I'd like *something* on the front if I over-fender the rear. But the rear arches are normal arch shaped - the fronts however have the same angle at the front side of the arch but the reap slopes down instead of keeping the same angle (hard to explain) so nothing seems to fit right because the 'top' of the arch is elongated. :?

Arch flares came. No pictures yet sorry!

They're just as tacky as I expected them to be but I think once they're painted body colour and have been shaved on the backs for flush fitting I think they'll actually look alright - they match the size of the arches which is what I was having trouble with before.

I won't be riveting them on - going to use sealer instead, it's more flexible if it took a knock and doesn't damage the bodywork underneath (just paint). So I'm undecided on whether to fill the holes where the LEDs are (EWWWWW) and then paint them so they're solid or leave them and use false rivets where the holes are.

I also don't think I've even posted about this yet? But I'm also planning an OBD1 swap. Which involves F22 distributor with adapter plate (guy from 3geez makes them specifically), the jumper harness which I can also get made specifically for the A20 and an ECU which is the easy part but also the hard part - there's loads of different ECUs I can use but it's getting it mapped to suit the car that's the issue (nobody wants to touch it with all the changes). I've been given a suitable map by a friend which is set up for the A20 with a reground cam, b16 intake manifold and 240cc injectors so I'm ALSO planning to do all those changes or similar. Then I just need to give the map to someone (H-Tune have agreed to do it when I'm ready) and it'll be all set up, and suitable for future changes too.

I was really worried about whether I'd have to use an auto ECU or not as there was a lot of conflicting information out there but it turns out I was worried for nothing - as the auto box on these is mechanical it doesn't need any kind of information from an ECU so I can just use a manual ECU and it'll work fine, if anything an auto ECU would get confused as it would be looking for a connection to an auto box that doesn't exist.

Totally new to any of this mapping stuff so I've been doing a lot of research. It should be good when it's finished. I'm hoping really to get 150bhp. And it'll be perfect for running down the strip because it's where autos come into their element  I will be looking in future to do a manual swap if I can get my hands on one though! I don't want to swap out the engine because I love the type of torquey power the A series has compared to the B16, B18 etc. which thrive off top end.

I'll try to get some arch flare photos tomorrow along with better photos of the seats :D
