Weird wobble

Post by fithotblonde » Mon Mar 28, 2016 6:12 pm

Right am not shoure if this is engine or gear box problem or drive shafts but we'll try here for now. Problem I have is I have just swoped a f22 for a h22a an a m2b4 lad box I think that is the right code. About a week or so ago first time took it for a proper drive. Vtec is ace very happy with it but there is a very strong wobble/judder in something somewhere when turning left. It feels a lot like driving over the cats eyes in the middle of road. It dose it from about 40 in any gear an gets to the point of abit of a concern at about 60+ can anyone shed some light on this for me thanks

I'd say check everything on your suspension...ball joints, bolts/nuts, hub nuts, brakes, steering etc

Cool thanks for help I was stressing that it might be drive shaft related. Will get it in mate garage an on ramps over the next week.

It could also be driveshaft, yes.
While you're under there checking all the suspension bolts, grab the driveshaft each side and try to move it up/down. By comparing each side, you'll spot if one has play in that's excessive (unless both are knackered  )
Also have a look to check that they have been properly refitted into the hubs - have a look from the outside of the hubs at the driveshaft end and nut. Compare both sides. Roughly same amount of shaft sticking out beyond the nut? Nut done up tight and peened over?

All that said though... if you have paid a garage to do the swap for you, then just take it back to them and get them to find the problem it seems they created!

Hello everyone I still have this problem. I have checked all bolst an nuts on nearly every thing. I have had new track rod ends an ball joint an on sat just gone put all new springs all around so had it all undone an done up again. Now am gessin it is drive shaft or gear box related maybe. Can some one tell me if my old drive shafts off a f22 with the gear box that gose with it don't know the code. Will work with my new h22a an lsd gear box again not sure on the code. Thanks to any one that can help
