Surely the easiest way has got to be just swap all ancillaries off the a8 onto the a7 while you rebuild it's then there is no doubting what fits/doesn't fit?

Not sure about intake gasket. What's the actual difference between the 2 (in terms of the mating faces)?
Pics?

Like Wurly says, swap all the bits from the Type-S engine over to the H22a7 (intake manifold, VTEC solenoid, water temp sensor) and it will work.

Use the type s/5th gen injectors. There is a slight difference.
Atr, 4th and 5th gens injectors are all different.

Atr injectors have a longer nozzle due to longer runner entry.

However with a slight mod they can all work.
