How exactly do you plug in to rear speakers?
If it looks like jobby and smells like jobby it probably is jobby!

It has 4 wires: power supply (2 wires), and sound supply (2 wires)

The way how I did it last time, was;
-power supply- + and - from head unite or from ignition,
- sound supply- take from one of the rear speakers.

This is the way how I did last time and it was working for a number of years.

So this fits right into the spare tire? Even though the rsx has a 16 inch spare and Preludes have a 15 inch spare?

I don;t see why not. My spare wheel fits with a fair amount of space around the tyre.

This is taken out from Mazda 6. I can not remember, what size of spare wheel is in 5th gen 2.0l ( Im assuming ita 15 inch) but was fited well.
I'm also.can not see any problems to fit that in 4th gen as well.
