Had a good productive couple of weekends on the donar car, so I've stripped the interior of anything that I think is worth anything, I'm trying to establish a fully functioning and complete climate controls system possibly to fit in the BB2 or possibly to sell..
Anyway on removal of the dash to get at the evaporator and other parts for the swap, I came across this little switch for the immobiliser which I thought was stealth as
So I still have some parts of the system to remove but I thought it time to tackle the main part that I bought this car for.. That epic JDM H22a
Yesterday (Saturday) I came home after work and after a beer (or two) with my bro I thought it time to get the engine ready for removal, so I cracked on and during one of the most intense thunder storms I've seen here I got it ready to pull out..
So this morning I was up bright and early to get it out and I can honestly say that wasn't the easiest engine removal I've done....
oh the engine came out very easily through the top with the bonnet off but working outside in what must have been 100% humidity was not pleasant.. Also found a big huntsman spider hiding in our washing machine which of course the Mrs was terrified of so had to deal with him too
Anyway I'm babbling on now here's a couple of pics of how it stands
Sorry for the essay but Sunday beers in Aus bring the writer out in me
