To clarify - that's In Car Entertainment - not frozen water

Oh I thought you meant the side repeaters on the front wings

No you only need to put the resistors on one pair of lights, as they're all in parallel.

The rear indicators are the easiest.

So a few of the LED bulbs came yesterday!

Didn't have much time yesterday to do anything but I made sure before I got to bed I'd fit something.

I fitted the side repeaters... The amber is unreal :) has a good strong glow.

Though I did have one problem, well two:

1. I ordered the wrong size bulbs for the door splash festoon things. Does anyone know the size?

2. The SiR doesn't have 501 daylight bulbs wired up!! Wtf!? Does anyone know why, is this normal?

So the rest of the LED lights turned up the other day, small wait as they came from overseas (free P+P)

Everything had been tried out and tested really happy with the purchase and the look now.

In answer to my own question an LED can not work in the same way that a double filament bulb does (unless it's not your standard tech) SO I RECOMMEND YOU DON'T BUY THE RED BULBS FOR BRAKE LIGHTS unless they are to be used for sidelights.
I haven't yet fitted the front indicators which I am excited to see the out come.

If you do purchase be aware that they are polarity sensitive, so if you stick em in and they dont work dont worry just flip them around and that should be it.

The white light was so white I was looking for a golden staircase and pinching myself to make sure I was still alive.
The amber really filled the light box in a way that the old bulbs just couldn't.

IMO a very simple yet effective uprating for visibility, signalling and style.

Here is a small type up of fitting the new lensed SMD LED bulbs to the front indicator. I will only show you the front near side and compare to the standard bulb on the off side

So first off lift the bonnet latch in the drivers foot well, the latch under the catch under bonnet, lift the bonnet and hold in place with the bonnet rod.

- The near side can be accessed from the top of the vehicle.
- Reach in from between the radiator and the grill to the front indicator bulb housing.
- Twist lock to losen and pull out
- Remove old bulb
- Replace with new LED

And to compare with the old standard incandescent bulbs Image

That is it!

To do the same on the off side you will have to access from the underneath. Remove any splash guards on the underside to reveal the rear of the fog light and indicator bulb unit and repeat the procedure.
Once done then replace all panels removed.

There are more pictures to show you.

The reverse lights Image

To conclude these are all day light photos so yes it gets even better.
The new bulbs benefit as they are instantaneous, they flash rather than glow almost lazily (indicators).
The reverse lights are whiter and maybe brighter than my beams up front.

If anyone wishes to see night pics I'll get some done upon request.

If you like this and fancy some of your own there is a link to the place where I got mine....worth the wait btw!

Just don't buy red ones or silly colours remember there are laws to abide to and I'd hate for people to get into trouble through these means.
