Just slam it, or lift it,

or something,

or leave it alone.
It is the most resolved of the HR-V designs, after all.

sailor think for now I'm done, love the looks and the character of the car.

A few more shots to try and persuade you...

Following behind in the Prelude, on the A1 with Ferrybridge power station in the distance. By today's standards it's quite a narrow car when you see it between the lines.

A few parked up:

13 years old so that's less than 2.5k miles a year.

Image

Facelift models had the redesigned front bumper and the honeycomb grille.

Keeps the miles off the precious Lude :D

I know you bought this so you wouldn't have to worry about getting bumped in the car park at work but... I'm definitely thinking this car is now getting an much love as the lude did and am getting the feeling you will actually be distraught if that happens

Wurlycorner You're right, my intention was for a cheap runabout that wouldn't mind the odd knock/scuff. Instead I've ended up falling for another Honda. :D

Update and Wurly is most definitely right.

Image

Image

For it's class it is not necessarily the most practical of cars compared to a new car.

Image

Doesn't have the biggest boot and it is a four seater. It's not terribly economical, 33-37mpg on the motorway, and £315 tax.
But
I love the looks and the drive and ride are great, (I dream of turbo charging and upping the modest 123BHP on offer).

Audio Update

You'll know from an earlier update that there is a ridiculous sound system in the car. After running in it needed returning to the audio fitters for further tweaking. More sound proofing in the doors and some magical silicone spray to eliminate rattles for electric window switches.

Image

A bar between the two subs was added to prevent the cover from banging:

and an additional bass processor was added for a finer control of bass:

Image

The other problem was the interfernce and whining sound when lights etc where turned on, i.e. the load on the battery was too much. The battery in the HR-V is surprisingly puny. The solution:

Image

Image

There is a small display to show battery voltage:

Image

The secondary battery powers the two amplifiers and is charged via a split charge relay. With the engine off the system can be played with no risk of discharging the main car battery.

The whine has now gone and the system does sound impressive. Over the top and very loud.

Finally got around to getting a couple of bits sorted. Used a smart repair company based in Sutton:

The cheap runabout has become not so cheap.

I'm genuinely thinking of further tweaks, some lighting to supplement the sound system. I have seen one of these lowered on 19" wheels on the FB group, not sure I'm ready for that, hehe.

Image

Personally I'd need to have engine mods and power gains to justify the look.
Regardless, am loving the HR-V.
Just noticed the CL1 in the garage - nice.

awesome work there my man. I was looking at the Subs thinking I hope he has a panel to put on top or the use of the boot has gone but I love how you have carried it out. Epic work.

There's a guy on the forum that does that, but it's probably a wise choice to have gone elsewhere - have heard the standard of his work is pretty crap :shh:

Either that, or some hairdresser car...

Never trust a guy with a white Honda, I say!
