Show us your Christmas hauls
Ok guys, who got what that interesting car or prelude related presents for Christmas?
All self-bought I add, so it's a bit of a cheat but hey, I needed to treat myself!
(the lilac microfibres are the free MCM JDM gift btw )
The electrical fault finding stuff has all been put to good use already, helping to suss out why the spare C2 won't crank and the breaker Xantia full pump won't run Big help over just having a multimeter.
Oh and as for the battery tester...
drokk knows how my C5 still manages to start!!!

Re: Show us your Christmas hauls
Battery tester is all well and good, but with the age of some of your cars, shouldn't you also have a tester for analogue batteries?

Power probe. one of the most useful tools for electrical fault finding.

Re: Show us your Christmas hauls
Joking aside... A storage scope is next on the list. It's the only way of diagnosing some things properly on the lides and the ONLY way of diagnosing stuff on my CXs (all electronic but no in built fault diagnosis/logging at all). I have already tracked down a full set of oem Citroen breakout cables and boxes that run up to end of production of Xantia/XM (thereafter for the C5, back probing will suffice)
Problem is finding a balance between something fast enough for can-bus (Xantia and C5) and sensibly priced.
