Coilover adjustment

Post by Drax » Sun Aug 11, 2019 3:59 pm

I have a set of 2nd hand Meister R's - can I/should I be able to adjust the height settings with a c-spanner when not fitted to the car?

Coilover adjustment

You might need a sturdy vice! I was able to adjust all parts of my teins, but then they did just come out of a box. I don't think i needed a vice for that job, but could imagine a second hand set might need some persuasion.

Technically, height is adjusted via the threaded part at the bottom, so you only need to undo 1 locking ring, and then turn the whole bottom assembly. You cannot do that when its fitted to the car without disconnected them from the hub/knuckle which is extra work.
