A7 long block

Hi going to list a7 engine next week or 2 just wondering what sort of price they fetch now. Has the balance shaft delete kit manual tensioner and new crank and rod bearings in it. It is currently in are eg track car we have a forged and sleeved h22a we are going to put in and boost it instead. Just looking rough idea as prices seem all over shop.

im guessing it runs ok? any noises/smoke from it like worm LMA's and stem seals or piston rings on their way out etc.?

also what else is coming with it like gearbox? loom? ancillaries? inlet mani?

bare running block should get between £5-700 so depends on answers from above. if it runs well and has box, loom, ancillaries etc. then you can get about 1k-1200

Cheers pal. We have done the valve steam seals also. The cam box is abit load we could never get to bottom of it done the lashes and all maybe just as has soild mounts you here it more maybe. Still runs really good though made 215whp. Does use a bit of oil probably nearly a liter a trackday.

Yea would just be engine no loom or inlet mani

215whp!! that's about 250bhp

fair play. closest high bhp we've seen from an a7 here is 242bhp i think

1ltr for a trackday is normal i'd say lol its a Honda

from that spec i'd say sell for £750

215 at the wheels is more like 270 at the fly, accounting for typical 20% transmission loss. Any power graphs?

I'd say thats about right! Does anyone know why the H22 uses so much oil? There is never blue smoke, so the oil must be completely burnt like fuel at high power outputs/temps. Might explain why my car is always covered in a grey/black soot all over the rear...
