 cheers guys. I actually have a spare here on the spare S engine in the garage so i will be removing that tomorrow.

I have gone over everything and re tightened all the new battery connections. the battery is still on charge.

So could the alternator have been on the way out and me relocating the battery to the boot (increasing the cable load to charge) and putting two amps in the boot alonside said battery, pulling quite a few amps (as i rattle find this afternoon, no mid/top just bass   ) directly on that cable.....could i have killed it?

 :(

That probably wouldn't of helped the issue no. At least it didn't die somewhere rediculous, blow your header tank and have to get towed to a garage you'd never been to before to be fixed

Like my old turbo astra coupe :(

Slowly but surely. To be honest its destined for the white one anyway. The white one has an oil burning issue its going to cost a fortune to fix so the engine that i have that, when I hit the tree, was going really nicely :? will be transplanted. I am working on plans for this engine at the moment  nothing much just bloody working
