Pulling to the left under hard acceleration

Post by Carlosfandango » Sun Jun 17, 2012 1:21 pm

Recently the car seems to have developed an urge to steer left under hard acceleration, changing from 1st to 2nd. I thought it may have been torque steer related, but, surely the ATTS would negate this!

Brakes and tyres are OK on the front ;) Any thoughts?

Tyre pressures, haven't checked yet

Tracking was top my list. It wasn't done when the front tyres where replaced, but the tyres were replaced a couple months before this became apparent.

Faulty ATTS? No warnings as yet ;)

Bearings? All quiet on the western front, so I think the 1st and 2nd items will be the likely candidates

Eeep! More blooming spending on the Japanese money pit  Let's hope it's just the tyre pressure

Tyres/Four-wheel alignment is your first check. Probably a deflated or worn tyre most likely.

Failing that, you have a Random Torque Transfer System and that sounds expensive.
