White_rabbits picture from the dyno day confimed that the manifold was broken when the lude ran on the dyno; look at the black at the top of the mani on the ports to cylinders 1 & 2 (this is soot) it's also blowing from just before the flexi connection (lowest part of the system). Thanks to 4thgenphils keen eye and honda_hardys mechanical knowledge twas a speedy diagnosis.
Bottoming out at speeds in the lake district with 4 in car must of had something to do with it
fingers crossed for an easy repair otherwise my mugen mani isn't much good now
