checking gearbox oil?

Post by A1ex » Mon Jul 23, 2012 9:55 pm

How do I check the box oil level on a manual UKDM box? It's looking a but gunky on the top like it could be leaking but can't see a dip stick anywhere for it...

Hi mate, not sure if the UKDM are the same as the JDM ones, but when I changed the gear oil on mine I filled it back up through the filler plug on the side of the gear box. I think it was a 3/8" rachet square drive size. As far as I know thats the only way of checking it, but I may be wrong. :?

Which leads to my next questions which you can probably guess...

Where is the filling cap and is there a drain plug on the bottom? I have no idea when it was last done so might just be worth changing it out for fresh.
