That was all done very recently and no other work has been done other than driveshafts.

Could it be a worn engine or gearbox mount? Although the engine seems rock solid, when pushing it there is no movement.

This might sound stupid. What about spigot rings? Well... the lack of them?

I know the spigot rings came off the wheels you sold me, and I didnt put them back on. I'll feel a right kebab if that is the cause. I dont know if all the wheels have spigot rings on them. I think one fell off and I lost it.

Maybe try swapping some wheels around to see if it makes any difference. I'm missing a spigot ring on one of my alloys, so I tighten the nuts by hand with just the socket, turning the wheel and bashing the tyre as I continue to tighten each nut by hand. It helps to centre the alloy on the nuts. Works for me with no shake at any speed.

If that's still no good, try jacking the whole front up, pop it securely on axle stands and pull the front wheels around with a good bit of force in all directions to check for play. If there's none, you could also jack up the bottom of each wishbone just next to the ball joint to set the suspension height to what it would normally be on the road, and have another go at pushing and pulling each wheel around.

Thanks guys. Im kind of pinning my hopes on spigot rings now. I cant think of anything else it might be. I have found two new spigot rings here, they were speares off my Rota wheels. I hope they fit. I'll fit my other wheels when I get the car back from the garage at lunchtime tomorrow.

When I put the wheels on I do tighten the nuts in 1,3,2,4 figuration. However I do not know if the garage did this, you would assume they would. The nuts are tapered as well so that should pull the wheel into position.

Mikey, if I do need sorted out with spigot rings would it be OK to fire past your work tomorrow afternoon? I need to be at Knockhill for about 4.30. Fingers crossed its dry and I can use my other wheels anyway.

Did they inspect the spyder bearings individually?
It only takes one to be faulty/seized & you will still get the judder.

The car seems to be good now. I popped in to the garage on the way to work and took it for a run. It seems that the wheel wasnt seated properly when the car was given back to me, hence the mental judder.

Panic over  Thanks for the suggestions. Im glad it was somethign simple

Yup seems so. I never found anything wrong with them when I inspected before fitting them.
