My house was broken into last night :-(

Post by rob quilter » Sat Dec 15, 2012 11:22 am

Finished work a few hours later that what I normally would last night, I got home at 7:40pm, the missus was at work til 8.

Walked in to find our patio window glass smashed in, called the police and had a walk around the house to see what they had taken. Looks like they were disturbed as it looks like they left and didn't take everything they intended to (virgin media box and tv had been unplugged and moved, but hadn't been taken). Pisses me off that if I was home 5 mins earlier it may not of happened

They took my ps3 and laptop (which was half knackered) so it could of been a lot worse.

Scenes of crime have just been, and all they found was a glove print, so I'm not holding my breath about the scumbags being caught.

We don't have an alarm, as we live in a fairly upmarket area and thought we'd never get broken into. I'm going to invest in one now tho.

Three houses on the street next to us got robbed in the same week. might be time to invest in those fake CCTV cameras or get those remote triggered CCTV cameras.

Moving house soon, so invest in some booby traps too.
