Ok boys and girls
I did this S2000 seat conversion into my 5th Gen over this last week and there are some issues not explained anywhere.

Firstly - The handle for tilting the seat is an absolute muffin bitch to get off. You have to twist and pull. Twist and pull people.

Secondly - The drivers seat knob for raising and lowering the seat bum is a PITA to remove.

And finally when your all done swapping over to the Preludes pans and rails and put them into the car,
the seats are about 2inchs taller than OEM so your higher up in the car and your back is higher up in the rear of the seat meaning your shoulders miss the bolter.
Thats rubbish. I though S2000 seats were meant to be lower. :x
The problem is the Prelude pads are ot shaped to the S2000 foam so it sits higher.

Anyway iv found a solution. My solution is to use the S2000 pans and the Prelude rails so the foam sits perfectly in the pans and you end up actually sitting 2" lower than OEM Prelude. EXCELLENT.

I post up a Clubbing Eddy how to guide with pictures comparing shortly. Plus my secret new upholstery.

Briliant, as I have Recaros and I think pan is not interchanchable with Prelude pan so your write-up will help - to sve a time to invent own solution ;)

I never removed the springs.
And yes my seat was at the lowest setting.
Anyhow it still sits lower that removing those springs. The S2000 seatpan now touches the floor.

So the S2000 bolts to the Preludes rails at the front fine.
Image

Excuse the quality but the rear wont bolt up. The bolts is on the side for the Prelude rails but under the pan for the S2000 pan. So to connect them up you need to make an L shaped adapter.
Image

Like so. I just happen to find a bracket from a TV stand i was throwing out. Unfortunately i only had 2 brakets not 4 that i need.
Image

So for the other side of the seat i used a large flat piece of metal so when the seat it sat on its squashed against the rails and wont move and is perfectly flat against to the other side.
Image

And a comparison of Prelude seat pan and Prelude rails on the left. And S2000 pan and Prelude rails on the right.

Height difference.

They feel fantastic. Very low and snug and just adds to the change in feel of the car. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED plus OEM.
